Martyniak R. M. and Slobodian B. S. The influence of liquid bridges in intersurface gab on contact of compliant bodies
Interaction of elastic half-spaces has been modeled for the case when in the intercontact gap caused by a groove on the surface of one of the bodies, uncompressible liquid bridges at the edges of the gap and gas pressure action in its middle part are present. The soluion of the problem is given in terms of the gap height function, and for its determination a sinular integral equation (SIE) solved analytically is obtained. Due to limitation of the SIE soluion and liquid amount constancy a system of transcendent equations is derived for determination of the gap and the bridges lengths. The dependence of the gap length, length of the regions with gas and liquid, height of meniscus on loading in case of relatively soft materials of contact pair are illustrated. It is established that contact pair behavior is characterized by ambiguity, that is, another equilibrium position with less height of the gap exists alongside with the existence of the equilibrium position of rigid materials.

Stankevych V. Z. Stress intensity at the crack in the composition of a semi-space and a layer under harmonic loading
The 3-D problem of elastic bi-material body “halfspace–layer” with a penny-shaped crack is considered. The crack faces are subjected to time-stationary torsional loading. The problem is reduced to solution of 2-D boundary integral equations of Helmholtz potential type with the unknown jumps of displacements across the crack opposite faces. The dynamic stress concentration in the neighborhood of the crack contour is analyzed.

Nykolyshyn M. M. and Zhydyk U. V. Thermoelastic oscillations of heterogeneous anisotropic cylindrical shells
For heterogeneous anisotropic circular cylindrical shells a coupled system of the differential equations of thermoelasticity in which anisotropy of physicomechanical properties in a transverse direction is taken in to account, is obtained. These equations are used for construction of the solution of a dynamic problem of thermoelasticity of heterogeneous axisymmetrical shells of finite length, and also for the analysis of natural thermoelastic vibrations of these shells. Cross-ply and angle-ply laminated shells are considered. Numerical results of natural frequencies and decrement of attenuation for graphite-epoxy composites are given.

Yasnii P. V., Marushchak P. O., Hladio V. B., and Baran D. Ya. Interaction of interislocation parameters and hardness of plastically deformed heat-resistant steels
The main regularities of the high-temperature plastic deformation effect on the heat-resistant 15Õ13ÌÔ and 25Õ1Ì1Ô steels strengthening kinetics have been investigated using transmission electron microscopy and the methods of non-destructive testing. The differences in the intensity of plasticity exhausting of the investigated steels are found: ferrite-martensitic 15Õ13ÌÔ steel is strengthened more when non-parallelism of the subboundaries of the dislocation microtrucure increases and the distance between them decreases and also due to grinding and fragentation of dislocation martensite. Ferrite-pearlitic steel 25Õ1Ì1Ô is characterized by less intenive strengthening which is caused by greater plasticity of the matrix and less original density of dislocations. It is shown that under heat-resistant steels plastic deformation, irrespective of the deformation level, the relation of the substructures strengthening and the dislocations density in the low-angle borders and the hardness (microhardness) of the material can be described by the linear dependence.

Bending of the plate with a system of periodic collinear cracks with account of these cracks edges contact has been investigated. The stress-strain state of such a plate has been evaluated by the theory of complex variable function. It has been established that when the crack edges contact occurs along a part of plate thickness the stress intensify factors decrease and the intensity factors of moments increase to compare with the contact of crack edges along the line crossing the surface.

The thermodynamic characteristics and peculiarities of oxometalate reduction on aluminum surface as well as reaction product properties (specific electric resistance of oxides) were analyzed. The artificial intellect means were decided to be used for simulation of conversion coatings forming process because of the lack of correlation in ranged series of above mentioned parameters. The influence of an oxometalate concentration, pH, sealing period and test duration on the corrosion resistance of anodized D16 alloy was studied and visualized in 3D space. Artificial neuron networks based on multilayer perceptrons have been applied for prediction of the conversion coatings corrosion resistance.

Bonishko O. S., Vrublevska T. Ya., Zvir O. Z., and Dobrianska O. P. Spectrophotoetric determination of osmium ions (IV) in intermetallides
A simple spectrophotometric method for determination of Os(IV) has been developed. The proposed method is based on the reaction of formation of this metal complex with Kongo Red (KR). The compositions of the Os(IV) with KR, ?max has been established under the optimal conditions (u.o.c.). Interaction of Os(IV) with KR passes with formation of a compex with a structure M:R = 1:1 at pH 3.5. The formed complex is characterized by the maium light absorbtion at ?max = 340 nm. The method allows to determine from 0.09 to 6.70 mg/l of osmium. The influence of foreign ions on the spectrophotometer deterination of Os(IV) has been studied. The method was verified during the analysis of the syntheic solutions.

Based on the previously obtained solution of the problem of SH-plane wave diffraction on the interfacial crack, the peculiarities of the far radiated field for very small and critical angles of sounding are investigated. The effects of multiple wave diffraction on the crack tips as well as the formation of the scattered displacement field are analyzed. It is shown that in these cases the dependence of the field magnitude on the crack length at very small and critical angles is monotonic. This effect can be used for determination of the crack size.
